Michael Koss - Special Counsel

Michael is a seasoned commercial and business advisor and entrepreneur with extensive experience across Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. His expertise in running businesses, executing capital raises, establishing companies in Australia and expanding companies internationally has equipped him with practical insights that he eagerly shares with his clients.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts/Laws and a Master of Laws from Monash University, along with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. While trained in law, Michael now works with Novulex in a non-legal capacity, focusing on front-end commercial strategy, business advisory, and corporate services. He has a diverse background, including prior practice in commercial law and serving as a mediator for business, startup, and construction disputes.

In his commercial endeavours, Michael has established and directed companies in Australia, India and the UAE, coordinated cross-border capital raises, and advised startups from seed stage to Series E. His notable achievements include:

  • G20 and B20 Delegate (2023)

  • Australia-EU Emerging Leader (2018, nominated by the EU)

  • Australia-ASEAN Emerging Leader (2017-18, nominated by DFAT)

  • 100 Most Influential Healthcare Leaders – India (2017-2019, World Health Congress)

  • The only Australian delegate in the Westerwelle Young Founders Programme (Berlin)


Michael has a deep understanding of technology, having spoken internationally on data and technology in healthcare. He co-founded a digital health company with both hardware and software IP and global supply chains. His work includes involvement in:

  • Google Cloud for Startups

  • CSIRO Responsible AI Company

  • Cross-border investments in blockchain, Web3, and crypto in Asia and the Middle East


Michael is passionate about working with businesses, both large and small, public and private, to develop growth strategies and practically implement them, ensuring companies are poised for their next stage of success.
